Steelmaking operations
Development of steelmaking technologies is aimed at improvement of the steel production processes, providing for steel’s special properties and optimization of costs both for semis (to be further processed) and for finished products (commercial slabs), also due to achievement of SuperTBL level (technically based level)
Steelmaking R&D team is working on improvement of steel production processes in order to satisfy growing demands of our customers for the quality of products.
The development and improvement of technologies for the production of low-alloy high strength steels and steels with an increased content of alloying agents will expand the company’s product line.
Improvements in steelmaking technology, resulting in less non-metallic inclusions and internal defects, will satisfy the growing demand for steel plates with special ultrasonic inspection requirements and for Class 1 and 2 macrostructure quality slabs.
Further mastering the production of steels prone to surface cracking will improve the surface quality and geometry accuracy of cast slabs, which will lead to cost optimization and increase the efficiency of customer processes.
