Business targets
Steel sheets are widely used as roofing materials.
However, in areas with a hot climate or a large number of sunny days per a year the use of such materials requires additional thermal insulation and increased costs for cooling the premises.
To reduce the heat load on buildings it is proposed to apply special coatings to steel roofing sheets that would reflect sunlight and thus reduce the cost of servicing air conditioners.
Implementation features
The reflective effect of the coating
is achieved by introducing special additives into the polymer matrix i.e., titanium oxide or glass microparticles with a mirror surface. For an additional thermal insulation effect hollow microspheres can be used.
