Business targets
There is a current problem of white corrosion occurring during storage and transportation of galvanized steel products.
Traditional methods of white corrosion preventing require a large number of operations to finish the metal surface for painting that leads to an increase in the production cost.
The proposed solution will significantly increase metal resistance to the white corrosion and reduce the painting cost by shortening a process chain of surface finishing.
Implementation features
Most available compositions of thin grease-resistant coatings contain chromium compounds in various degrees of oxidation that increases the toxicity of such compositions.
Compositions that do not contain chromium compounds are very expensive and it reduces the product profitability .
To reduce the composition cost it is necessary to find cheaper anti-corrosion additives and adapt the application and curing conditions to the technologies used at the Lipetsk site and at NLMK Strasburg.
